Grades 3-5 had a spelling bee today during Catholic Schools Week. I'm proud to announce that our very own third grade student, Jade Holewinski, came in first place. It was a close second with Caleb Bergner. Mabel Harrig came in third.
Our own Pulaski's K9 Police Patrol visited! The second and third grade read a story about a police dog, and I was excited to bring in our local police dog. Our principal, Mrs. Mangold, was able to make that happen! Go to https://www.mypulaskik9.org/about.html to read more!
Parents came with their 2nd and/or 3rd grade students to have special time together. We played Blooket and made Advent Prayer Chains. It was a great evening!
This is a wonderful school tradition! We visit our local cemetary to visit and pray for loved ones who are with God. Some students have loved ones there we all can visit.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th have gotten together for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to complete a Scavenger Hunt on Knowledge about these holidays! You'd be surprised the pieces of information we learned!
Our students planned, designed, and built a haunted house. This required staying within budget, drafting the house, building it, and then describing what one would experience once inside! Once done, the 2nd and 3rd grade students presented their houses to potential buyers (4th and 5th grade students). They did a fantastic job!
Our classroom SMART Board had run its course, and we needed new technology. Thanks to my parents, we now have a snazzy interactive board to use for learning!
