The Kathleen Riordan Alumni of the Year Award was instituted to recognize outstanding contributions of time, talent, and treasure to Assumption BVM Education Programs. This award is named in honor of Kathleen Riordan, who was a librarian at school and was deeply loved by staff and students in all education programs. She gave generously to education and was a marvelous example of stewardship and discipleship at Assumption BVM Parish and School. Kathleen was a "good and faithful servant", and we will always remember her outstanding influence. Tim and Elaine truly embrace all Kathleen embodied. Elaine attended Assumption BVM School, as well as their children and grandchildren. Their current and past ministries include: create a beautiful prayer space in church for all the religious seasons; take care of priest vestments; volunteer as altar servers, eucharistic ministers, and members of the choir; volunteer in the school library and broaden library services; serve on the following Boards: Total Catholic Education, Finance Council, and Council of Catholic Women; and serve as chairpersons for the Parish Centennial Celebration and Classic Dinner & Auction. These are just a few of the many contributions they have made to Assumption BVM Parish and School. Congratulations, Tim and Elaine, and thank you for your commitment to our Assumption BVM Education Programs. Assumption BVM Board of Total Catholic Education would like to thank all the volunteers over the years. Below: Tim and Elaine with their family.
