May Crowning ~ May 11, 2017

For a very long time, the Catholic Church has remembered Mary during the month of May, so today after school Mass, everyone gathered in front of school by our statue of Mary, to honor her as Jesus’ mother and our mother in heaven.  We give Mary our hearts and our love.

All her life, Mary tried to do what God asked of her.  We prayed one decade of the rosary to ask Mary to help us do what God asks of us at home, at school, and at play.

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.  Blessed are you among women, and Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death.  AMEN.”

It is tradition for one of our 3rd Grade students to crown Mary, because they have received their First Holy Communion this year.  The third grade class chose Claire Grygiel to crown Mary with flowers.
