Second graders joined fifth graders today for a little morning fishing! First students had 10 minutes to make a fishing line out of some materials provided, they could use anything they wanted and follow any design they wanted. Then we walked out to the pond and students had 10 minutes to try and catch a fish. During this time many students lost their poles, lines, etc. no fish were caught. Then we went inside and Mr. Robaidek read Mc Elligot’s Pool by Dr. Seuss, we talked about the theme of the story and what can be learned. Second graders then wrote about what they learned or what they would do different next time.
