You know the phrase "Kids Say the Darndest Things". Their honesty can be amusing and sometimes embarrassing, but in this case.... absolutely beautiful. The 3rd graders have been learning about how to pray and what to say when they pray. They love writing their own heart-felt prayers. Here are a couple of them. (Used with permission.)
"Dear God, please help and heal everybody. Help me to be more like You. Also watch over my family and friends. Please help my dad shoot a buck. Thank you for this day and your creation. Please help me not to be mean to sisters and not talk back to my mom and dad. We also need you to help everybody with Covid - 19 and other sicknesses, and help us meat with family soon and watch over everybody in war. I also whant you to help me not sin. I want to go to heaven with you. Amen"
"Hello God! Help me to remember that your always with me when I need you. Please help my Grand Pa heal because he has a big ingery on his leg. Please help the poor get better soon, and please keep the Covid-19 away from my family and others. Your love is so powerful that everyone in my family knows you are loveing them. I love you so much. Thank you God for my life. Amen”
