On Thursday, October 1, Father Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM celebrated his last School Mass with the students and staff of Assumption BVM School, as well as school families and parishioners. The 3-Year-Old Preschool and 4K classes designed a heart with their handprints. Each of the classes in grades Kindergarten through 5 designed a letter with descriptions of Father Patrick, using the letters of his name. P – Patient A – Awesome T – Trustworthy R – Respectful I – Inspiring C – Caring K – Kind Father Patrick’s first assignment in Pulaski was as Deacon of Assumption BVM Parish. When he was ordained, he became Pastor of Assumption BVM Parish. During his ministry, St. Stanislaus Parish eventually joined with Assumption BVM Parish, and Father Patrick became Pastor of that parish as well. He served for 13+ years before being reassigned to another parish. In 2015, he was reassigned to the Pulaski area after the death of Father Bob. Father Patrick served as Pastor of Assumption BVM Parish in Pulaski, St. Casimir Parish in Krakow, and St. Stanislaus Parish in Hofa Park, as well as the Guardian of the Franciscans of the Assumption Province in Pulaski. Father’s term of office ended in August 2020, and he is being assigned to another Parish. Thank you, Father Patrick, for your years of dedicated service. We will miss you! God Bless. #ABVMKnights
