"Carrying the Cross" a Different Way

February 25, 2021One of the first projects in fifth grade is making a cross every year. This project promotes teamwork and learning about engineering. The finished cross is used for multiple reasons such as: prayer, inspiration, a reminder, and a symbol of faith. During Lent, 2-3 students at a time take turns carrying the cross to remind them of Jesus’ supreme sacrifice for all.
This year the students and Mr. Robaidek designed individual blocks to carry during Lent so they could remain socially distant. Way to think outside the “block”(box)!
