Students in the Kindergarten class, are practicing their scientific skills. The students recently read the Bible story of Noah’s Ark and wanted to know how many animals would the boat hold. Even though there could not be real animals or a real boat to run tests on, the students designed a smaller test. While using the “parts of a scientist” (eg: brain, eyes, hands, etc), the students choose different materials to be their arks. Then we counted how many animals could fit on our arks before they sank.
